Role OverviewThe Utility Lighting Installer is skilled in the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground lighting distribution systems. The position performs additional duties as requested to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the organization. Work is performed in a family environment with a focus on longevity and stability.
What You Will Do
Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized overhead and underground distribution and lighting systems. Conduct pre-job planning based on job prints and work orders. Perform excavation of dirt, rock, concrete, and other materials using hand tools and power equipment.

The successful candidate will have advanced ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, work orders, instructions, and procedures. They will also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, use of the Internet, email, iPad, and industry-related programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CDL A
- Advanced ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, work orders, instructions, and procedures
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, use of the Internet, email, iPad, and industry-related programs
- Proficiency in critical thinking, trouble shooting, and problem resolution
- Maintain and safely operate company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines for energized and de-energized working conditions
- Exceptional ability to actively listen and communicate effectively (written, verbal, and nonveral)
