Role OverviewUSA Environmental is seeking UXO Technicians for a long-term project at Ft. Johnson in Louisiana. The project involves conducting MEC-related activities with a two-week on-site and two-week off-site schedule. A minimum one-year commitment is preferred.
What You Will Do
The UXO Technician will conduct MEC-related activities, including driving within and in the vicinity of the site, and handling equipment in a safe manner.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from a military EOD School or a UXO-TI Course, and have never been removed from a MEC assignment for personnel reliability reasons or unsatisfactory performance of duties.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen unless exception approved by the U.S. Government
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to handle in a safe manner the vehicle assigned to drive within and in the vicinity of the site
- Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia, or Graduate of a UXO-TI Course or the EOD assistant's course
- On-the-job training including, but not limited to familiarity with the process, procedures, and equipment (e.g., geophysical) used for conducting MEC-related activities
- Never been removed from a MEC assignment for personnel reliability reasons or unsatisfactory performance of duties, substantiated by official documentation
