Role OverviewThe Valuation Specialist will support the Head of Private Markets Valuation in building out a centralized valuation team. The role involves working closely with various teams to prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly valuation models and portfolio analytics. The Specialist will also perform model validation, coordinate with supporting teams, and manage relationships with third-party valuation service providers.
What You Will Do
The Valuation Specialist will perform various tasks, including preparing valuation memos, supporting Valuation Committee meetings, and performing quarter-over-quarter and period-over-period variance, attribution, and back-testing analyses. The Specialist will also maintain the valuation policy and procedures, controls, and internal-control testing evidence.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and advanced excel capabilities
- Quantitative finance background with knowledge of financial products, specifically in private equity and private credit strategies
- CFA designation strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or additional credentials (CPA, ASA, CVA, FRM) a plus
- At least 10 years of experience in valuation or investment banking/advisory with exposure to alternative assets
