Role Overview

The Value Stream Team Leader is a lead position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Assembly or Machining department, including safety, staffing, maintenance, problem solving, quality, 5S, and performance. This role promotes a 'safety first' mindset across the production floor and ensures staff are following safety procedures and guidelines. The team leader will oversee quality standards and results, lead by example, and foster an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability, and service to the team and community.

What You Will Do

The Value Stream Team Leader will be responsible for expediting, trouble shooting, and promptly resolving assembly line/cell or machine issues, defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. They will also provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating information with internal and external customers, utilizing process knowledge and tools to drive timely improvement and implement new strategies/process improvements for more efficient and/or cost-effective processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree in related field preferred
  • Experience as a complex assembler or machine operator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills preferred
  • 2+ years experience leading small teams
  • Reliable, organized, and motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to move between buildings and shifts within company to support personal development and business needs
  • High level of emotional intelligence including interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with a team
  • Strong understanding of Epicor, Word & Excel
  • Ability to safely perform job functions in various working conditions
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions using the English language
