Job Description
HDR is seeking a VCF Network Engineer 1 to support the design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of NSX overlay networking across VCF environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Avi Load Balancer, VMware NSX, and spine-leaf architecture, and a strong understanding of micro-segmentation and zero trust principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise networking, data center networking, or software-defined networking environments
  • Working knowledge of VMware NSX / NSX-T concepts, including logical switching, routing, and security policy constructs
  • Experience with core routing and switching fundamentals, including BGP and OSPF
  • Familiarity with spine-leaf architecture and top-of-rack switching concepts
  • Foundational knowledge of micro-segmentation, zero trust principles, and Layer 4–7 load balancing
  • Experience supporting production incident, change, and problem management processes
