Role OverviewThe Venture Banking Credit Risk Officer is responsible for the overall application and effectiveness of the Bank's credit policy and procedures. This position will work directly with senior management and the lending departments to facilitate the underwriting and origination of new loans, adjudication of credit requests, monitoring of the Bank's loan portfolio credit quality, and the supervising and training of the Bank's credit analysts.

The Venture Banking Credit Risk Officer must understand and apply the Bank's established credit practices, policies and procedures to support the Bank's risk appetite. They must also identify and assess risks associated with each credit request for new and existing clients, review structures and make decisions and recommendations on complex credit requests, and collaborate with lenders and the credit team to balance risk and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 12+ years' of experience in venture credit analysis, underwriting, or risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
