Job Description
This position is a Veteran Services Officer role that involves researching, navigating, and filing VA claims for veterans, their dependents, and survivors. The position requires a strong understanding of veterans' benefits programs and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with at least two years' experience in a service-related job
  • Accreditation as a VSO for one year
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Ability to compute and process required paperwork and recognize mathematical errors
  • Ability to operate a personal computer; experience with Microsoft programs
  • Possession of a Valid Oregon Driver's License or reliable transportation
  • Accreditation with Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) within two years from date of hire
