Job Description
This position is a Veteran Services Officer role that involves researching, navigating, and filing VA claims for veterans, their dependents, and survivors. The position requires a strong understanding of veterans' benefits programs and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Requirements
Graduation from a four-year college or university with at least two years' experience in a service-related job
Accreditation as a VSO for one year
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
Ability to compute and process required paperwork and recognize mathematical errors
Ability to operate a personal computer; experience with Microsoft programs
Possession of a Valid Oregon Driver's License or reliable transportation
Accreditation with Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) within two years from date of hire
