Job Description
Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a Veterans Services Representative to assist veterans with employment services, federal and state veterans benefits, health care, and resources. The successful candidate will have experience in the military or providing services to veterans, excellent time management skills, and the ability to network with employers and community-based organizations.

Requirements

  • Three years of full-time experience in the military or providing services to veterans
  • Incumbent must be a veteran who served on active duty for a period of more than 180 days and was discharged or released with other than a dishonorable discharge; OR a veteran who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability; OR an eligible person as defined by Title 38 of the United States Code
  • Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position
  • Acceptance into a TWC Internship or TWC Apprenticeship will satisfy the minimum qualifications
