Role OverviewThe VP, General Counsel is responsible for overseeing and executing all legal matters for Berkley Embedded Solutions and Berkley One, with primary responsibility for consumer-facing legal issues, vendor and commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, privacy and data security, and internal governance.
What You Will Do
Provide legal leadership and primary legal support, draft and review commercial agreements, oversee execution of corporate mandates, advise on regulatory and compliance requirements, provide legal guidance on data privacy and security, and address consumer complaints.

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of a state bar association
- 10+ years of progressive legal experience
- Demonstrated expertise in consumer regulatory matters
- Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state privacy and data security laws
- Experience advising on technology-enabled and digital business models
- Proven ability to interpret and operationalize regulatory changes and corporate legal mandates
- Experience supporting internal governance frameworks
- Strong judgment and ability to independently identify legal risk
