Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Construction to lead our development and construction work from land acquisition through home completion and warranty. This senior leadership role oversees our construction team, builds strong community partnerships and helps create a pipeline of financially viable, sustainable affordable homeownership opportunities.

What You Will Do

Lead development and construction, oversee design, permitting, project schedules and construction from feasibility through certificate of occupancy and warranty, review project estimates, budgets and schedules, and provide support to the construction team.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of construction experience
  • At least three years of property acquisition, development and permitting experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of affordable homeownership development and finance
  • Experience working with brokers, real estate investors, community representatives, lenders and other development partners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, contracts and deadlines
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate information and clearly communicate findings
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external partners
