Vice President or Principal, Portfolio Management and Treasury

Join Ares' Alternative Credit team as a Principal in Portfolio Management and Treasury, working across the business on financings, treasury, analytics, risk, valuation, hedging, reporting, and quantitative development. Collaborate with investment teams, portfolio managers, and other teams to optimize liquidity, capital calls, and cash management.

What You Will Do

Analyze portfolio and individual investments for various risks, review hedging, guide team on financial modeling and analytics, assist with valuation and internal ratings processes, and manage various team projects to strengthen investment and business operations processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Significant knowledge of structured credit and securitizations
• Ability to reduce complex problems and models into key drivers
• Strong intellect with outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Significant experience with investment modeling and fixed income analytics
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting
• Ability to manage borrowing base credit facilities with diverse collateral
• Ability to understand privately originated investments
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and driven
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
