Role OverviewThe VP, Supply Chain will be a key member of the South Central Division leadership team, reporting to the Division President. The role has a dual mandate: run best-in-class transportation and equipment operations — interfacility movement, last-mile delivery, and Equipment & Shops — while elevating Procurement into a strategic, value-creating function with ownership of vendor relationships, sourcing strategy, and total cost of ownership.
What You Will Do
Develop a multi-year transportation and equipment strategy aligned to Division growth priorities, including unlocking permitted quarry capacity through rail and barge optimization. Design and implement a formal S&OP process that connects demand forecasting, production planning, transportation capacity, and financial targets into one clear operating cadence.

Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations within heavy industrial or construction materials industries
- Demonstrated experience building or leading a strategic sourcing / category management function
- Deep expertise in rail logistics; demonstrated experience managing Class I railroad relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing rail network performance
- Experience managing a mixed transportation network of an internal private fleet and third-party carriers
- Proven track record of building supply chain or procurement capability in complex, multi-site environments
- Experience owning significant spend or P&L accountability (direct or indirect) and translating supply chain and procurement performance into measurable financial outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrix organization — aligning stakeholders across business lines, functions, and geographies without direct authority
