Role Overview

The Vice President of Underwriting will lead complex underwriting assignments, provide credit recommendations, and partner with various teams to facilitate successful loan closings and portfolio performance. The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial real estate credit expertise and experience underwriting hospitality and bridge lending transactions.

What You Will Do

Lead underwriting team, coordinate with originations team and legal, and oversee due diligence processes. Direct responsibility for credit analysis, financial modeling, and legal due diligence. Prepare term sheets, credit memos, and presentations to credit committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or Business Administration
  • Minimum seven years of experience related to real estate investing, investment banking, or capital markets
  • Significant experience underwriting hospitality assets, bridge loans, and value-add real estate investments
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending structures and credit risk management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
