Job Description
ACCEL Schools is seeking highly qualified Virtual Teachers for a 5th grade Long Term Substitute Teacher position. The role involves creating a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment and delivering live lessons via web conference, frequently requiring face-to-face attendance to support state testing and student events. Teachers will differentiate instruction and collaborate with the principal to set goals for student achievement.

Requirements

  • Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
  • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
  • Two years’ experience teaching
  • High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
