Job Description
We are seeking a VDC Field Solutions Engineer to support our Operations Services Unit out of Des Moines, IA. The role involves hands-on work in the field, frequent collaboration with project teams, and significant travel. The VDC Field Solutions I role supports project teams and VDC staff by deploying, operating, and maintaining field technology tools and digital workflows.

Requirements

  • Support VDC and project teams with field technology and digital workflows
  • Deploy, operate, and support field technology, including reality capture tools, drone data collection, and robotic layout tools
  • Process, organize, and manage field-collected data such as scans, photos, and models
  • Participate in project-specific safety processes and support the use of technology that enhances jobsite safety
  • Assist project teams with site logistics visuals, model-based coordination support, and verification of existing and installed conditions
  • Work closely with VDC Engineers and Managers to identify field challenges and implement repeatable, scalable solutions across projects
  • Maintain strong communication with project teams and be comfortable working on active jobsites
