Role OverviewThe Visiting Professor of Chemistry will teach undergraduate level courses and laboratories in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Programs. The position involves participating in curriculum development and assessment, advising students, and contributing to scholarship and professional development. The professor will also be expected to participate in university and area committees, perform duties professionally and ethically, and support the policies and mission of the University.

The main responsibilities of the Visiting Professor of Chemistry include teaching required workload credits per semester, participating in school and university-related activities, advising students, and developing a professional development plan. The professor will also be required to remain current in the latest industry practices, standards, equipment, research, and technology.

Requirements
- Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution in Chemistry or Biochemistry
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant teaching and/or research experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a combination thereof
- Experience teaching General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and/or Physical Chemistry
- Proficient in the use of technology to support both in-class and online learning environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with individuals at all levels of the university
