Job Description
The Visitor Services Associate greets and orients museum guests, provides information about programming, and assists with opening and closing procedures. The role involves working directly with the public, handling customer inquiries, and resolving problems in a diplomatic and empathetic manner. The position is part-time, with work hours up to 18 hours per week in shift work, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent certification
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a customer-focused position with direct public contact
  • Previous experience working in a museum (optional)
  • Previous customer service or visitor services experience at Colonial Williamsburg Foundation or another museum or historic site (optional)
  • General knowledge of the local area (optional)
