Role Overview

The Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to function as a VMWARE and Windows Infrastructure Administrator. The successful candidate will perform complex technical and project work supporting the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise VMware, Microsoft Windows Server, and cloud-based infrastructure environments.

What You Will Do

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will lead infrastructure initiatives, provide technical guidance to staff, and develop recommendations regarding technology investments, architecture, and operational best practices. They will design, implement, configure, and administer enterprise VMware virtualization environments, deploy, configure, and support cloud-based infrastructure services, and monitor, maintain, and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, security, and capacity.

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and four years of experience in datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, or complex IT infrastructure engineering.
