Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Correction (DOC) Unified School District #1 is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coding Instructor (Vocational Instructor) to teach programming fundamentals and coding skills to incarcerated individuals. The instructor will be responsible for prioritizing safety and security, teaching early intervention, elementary, secondary, special subject, and/or special education curricula, developing educational plans, and participating in planning team meetings and case review conferences.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
  • Eight (8) years of employment and/or teaching experience in the subject field
  • State Board of Education requirements to receive initial educator certificate to teach Vocational Education
