Job Description
Join New Freedom, a dynamic and compassionate community dedicated to empowering justice-involved and formerly incarcerated individuals to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society. As a Vocational Electives Specialist, you will facilitate group-based vocational electives, develop and launch electives and workplace-readiness programming, and provide support and resources for members through case management. Your impact will include facilitating group-based vocational electives, collaborating with department leadership, and providing one-on-one and group support to help members set recovery goals and access self-help resources.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
1-2 years of experience in vocational training or a related field
Ability to facilitate group-based vocational electives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with diverse populations
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
