Job Description
Join New Freedom, a dynamic community dedicated to empowering justice-involved and formerly incarcerated individuals to successfully rebuild their lives. As a Vocational Electives Specialist, you will develop and support vocational electives, provide peer support, and advocate for members in outpatient and inpatient settings. You will also collaborate with department leadership to develop and refine electives and workplace-readiness programming.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a related field, such as education, social work, or vocational training
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in vocational training, education, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of recovery-based approaches and principles
  • Understanding of and experience with Vocational Electives and workplace readiness programming
