Role Overview

This is a highly responsible and professional position serving as a Vocational Instructor II - OPS within the Recovery Unit. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who works seamlessly across all sections within the program office. This role requires the use of independent judgment, a proactive approach to responsibilities, and exceptional attention to detail.

What You Will Do

The incumbent will serve as a job coach and provide instruction, supervision, intervention, skills training and feedback. The position functions as a job coach and provides skilled instructional work in planning, organizing and conducting a Vocational Work Program primarily in wood working, in a wood shop environment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Two years of experience in the occupational area being taught
  • College education from an accredited institution or vocational/technical training in the occupational area being taught can substitute at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience
