Role Overview

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Caseload Assistant, you will assist Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and collaborate with support teams to assist job seekers. You will work in various areas, including job development, talent sourcing, and career resources. You will also support the Personal Care Assistance (PCA) program. You will be responsible for transporting participants with disabilities to various appointments and meetings as needed. You will work in-office and may require daytime travel within Ohio. You will be part of a dynamic team that makes a real difference in the lives of Ohioans.

What You Will Do

Your duties will vary depending on the need for the assigned area. You will assist consumers with job seeking skills training, interviewing skills, and securing and maintaining employment. You will also meet with individuals in subminimum wage employment to promote opportunities for competitive integrated employment and share information about supported employment services and career options.

Requirements

  • 24 months experience in the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services
  • Bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling, counseling, social work, psychology, disability studies, special education, business administration, human resources, economics or related rehabilitation or human services area
  • equivalent of education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above
