Role Overview

The Vocational Rehabilitation Program Specialist will coordinate and review statewide vocational rehabilitation programs, serve as a subject matter expert on program policies and procedures, and provide technical assistance to VR staff and contractors. The role will involve drafting program goals, developing procedural manuals, and collaborating with partners to implement initiatives that improve vocational opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of vocational rehabilitation practices, strong skills in Microsoft Office and data analysis, and the ability to build relationships, handle sensitive inquiries, and manage multiple priorities. The role will involve coordinating and reviewing statewide vocational rehabilitation programs, providing technical assistance to VR staff and contractors, and maintaining program-related databases.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling, counseling, social work, psychology, disability studies, special education or related rehabilitation or human services area, business administration, human resources, law, management, public administration or related field
  • 24 months experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor or Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
