Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor

The Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor will oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensure consistent and timely support for participants, and help staff grow through coaching, training, and regular performance evaluation. The role involves reviewing cases and caseloads for compliance and quality, monitoring expenditures, and supporting professional development across the team. The supervisor will also represent OOD with partner organizations, school systems, businesses, and other agencies to strengthen resources for participants and facilitate collaboration.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities and outcomes of this role include guiding and developing a team of Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, providing important services that help individuals reach their career goals, and supporting the referral and intake process. The supervisor will also handle participant concerns, prepare reports that reflect program progress and outcomes, and temporarily take on caseload duties or assist with administrative projects within the area or statewide.

Requirements

• 3 years experience as vocational rehabilitation counselor or vocational rehabilitation program specialist with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities.
• OR completion of undergraduate core program in human services area AND 5 years experience in private/governmental agency in position providing direct counseling services.
• OR completion of graduate core program in human services area AND 4 years experience in private/governmental agency in a position providing direct counseling services.
• OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
