Role Overview

The Volunteer and Education Coordinator develops, maintains, and promotes a comprehensive volunteer program that supports all departments across the organization. The position also provides administrative and operational support to the Education and Outreach Department.

What You Will Do

Recruits, trains, schedules, and recognizes volunteers, assists with coordinating program logistics, and provides administrative support to the department.

Requirements

  • Associate of Arts or Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to Four years of experience in volunteer program administration, preferably in a non-profit setting
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting the needs of several departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management software; experience with volunteer management software preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff across the organization
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs and stand for long periods of time
