Role OverviewThe Vice President, Federal Policy serves as PJM Interconnection's senior federal advocacy leader, responsible for developing and executing strategies that advance PJM's federal policy interests before federal agencies. The role advises the President and CEO, EVP Governmental and Member Services, General Counsel, Executive Team and other leaders on federal legislative and policy developments affecting PJM's mission as an independent regional transmission organization responsible for reliable grid operations, efficient wholesale markets, and regional transmission planning.
What You Will Do
Develops and executes PJM’s federal governmental affairs strategy, monitors federal legislative and policy developments, provides education and maintains relationships with Congress, the White House, the Department of Energy and DC-based influential trade associations, and coordinates PJM’s federal policy positions across internal stakeholders.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Engineering, Business, Political Science, Energy Law or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience in a managerial/supervisory role
- 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in federal government affairs, public policy, legislative advocacy, regulatory affairs, energy policy, or a related field
- Experience engaging with Congress, federal agencies, congressional committees, national trade associations, and senior external stakeholders on complex energy, infrastructure, reliability, market, or regulatory matters
