Role Overview

As a VSI Line Operator I, you will operate and adjust valve seat insert compacting presses, and furnace. You will assist with the operation of valve seat insert steam and temper furnaces, cryo units, and oil impregnation units. You will perform visual and dimensional inspection at the compacting, sintering, and steam/temper operations.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include creating a quality product, participating in training, complying with legal and other requirements, adhering to the facility's quality, environmental, health, and safety Management Systems, and monitoring product for product specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum or one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
  • Above-average mechanical ability
