Job Description
The Warehouse Forklift Driver will operate a lift truck to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas. The job requires reliable attendance, accurate counting, and following safety and security standards. The driver will also perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.

Requirements

  • Operate a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Verify that the product received is identified and counted accurately.
  • Inspect condition of all received product.
  • Move and place product safely and securely in its proper storage location.
  • Fill orders by accurately picking product from storage and staging that product on a spot utilizing stacking guidelines.
  • Inspect and load trucks and arrange the products with the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines.
  • Count units on preload spot and compare with shipping documents.
  • Move products from the preload spot, and directly from storage when required, into the trailer.
  • Properly secure the load for travel.
