Role Overview

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana. Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products Being Handled: Beverage Products. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

What You Will Do

Performs maintenance and trouble-shooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective manner. Maintains and trouble-shoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable. Performs routine forklift repairs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and trouble-shooting
  • Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
  • Good organizational, communication, and planning skills
  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
  • Experience operating forklift equipment required
  • Equipment certification may be required
