Role OverviewThe Warehouse Operator is responsible for accurately and safely inspecting, receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the company warehouse. The role involves picking, packing, and scanning orders for customer pickup and delivery, and increasing operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do
The Warehouse Operator will read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. They will also move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and perform basic math calculations. They should also be able to stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods of time, and lift and move up to 70 pounds.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Warehouse and forklift experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
