Warehouse Operator

As a Warehouse Operator at CMC, you will be responsible for reading customer orders, assembling customer orders, and performing inventory on material. You will also assist in filling work/shipping orders, unloading and loading of material for customers, and inspecting outgoing material for accuracy. This role requires the ability to work in uncontrolled climate environments, lift 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time. You will be part of a team working to make the construction reinforcement and steel industry more sustainable.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reading customer orders, assembling customer orders, performing inventory on material, assisting in filling work/shipping orders, unloading and loading of material for customers, and inspecting outgoing material for accuracy. You will also be responsible for operating a forklift to move material and supplies as required.

Requirements

• 1+ year(s) forklift / loader experience
• Ability to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stretch, bend and use hands and fingers in repetitive motions
• Ability to multi-task and manage time required
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and business leaders
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
• Ability to be flexible, a team player and interact professionally with employees as well as external contacts
• Able to work overtime as business requires
