Job Description
HDR has an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced professional to serve in a leadership position as the Washington (WA) Area Building Engineering Services (BES) Project Delivery Leader (PDL). As PDL, you will collaborate closely with BES Business Group leadership to promote and advance project management skills development, career path development, and mentorship of staff. Your direct reports may include local program managers, project managers, commercial managers, quality managers, and collaborative delivery leads.

Requirements

  • Promote, monitor, and develop project management skills and quality best practices for BES staff across the Area
  • Provide project management team organization and leadership for projects across the BES Business Group
  • Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers
  • Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement of Project Management including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned
  • Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities, striving for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Group operations, market leadership / sectors, business classes, and Professional Services Leaders
  • Perform delegated/designated BGM matrix of authority (MOA) responsibilities
  • Work with Business Group Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with the overall Area, corporate policy, and MOA
  • Assist with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials and driving profitability at the project level
  • Develop and implement standard project delivery practices, procedures, and approaches
  • Participate in 0% reviews, project reviews, and project approach and resources reviews (PARRs), and support project teams with management of claims and losses
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with project teams to verify that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.
