Role OverviewThe Youth Corps Member Lead is responsible for carrying out the objectives of the Washoe Tribe Conservation Corps, assisting with environmental projects and field activities, and maintaining confidentiality of privileged information.
What You Will Do
Supervise and evaluate Youth Corps Members, instruct them in conservation and natural resource protection, and respond to emergencies. Develop Youth Corps Members' leadership skills and mentor them.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years in a related field or education and experience
- Knowledge of business English, basic environmental terms, and the functions and structure of the Washoe Tribe
- Ability to communicate effectively, work with diverse groups, and be sensitive to Tribal cultural needs
- Fire Wildland Firefighting Training
- Arbor (including tree climbing, rope safety, knots, limbing)
- First-Aid and CPR/AED Certification
- Chain Saw Training/S212 Certification, Power Tools Safety and Operation, Heavy Equipment Safety and Operation; Chipper Safety and Operation, and Trail Construction and Maintenance
