Role OverviewThe Wastewater Maintenance Foreman will perform routine tasks to ensure the proper operation and mechanical integrity of wastewater treatment systems, septic tank effluent pump systems, and effluent disposal drip irrigation fields. They will also lead a crew and be responsible for maintenance-related repairs, safety protocols, and customer relations.
What You Will Do
The Wastewater Maintenance Foreman will repair and replace defective equipment, observe and record effluent flow meter readings, manually operate pumps, and respond to service calls. They will also maintain a safety attitude among employees and check and monitor confined space entries.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of decentralized wastewater systems, and experience working with PVC pipe, pump systems, and light electrical. They will also be able to analyze electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system problems and make corrections.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- State of TN Grade II Biological/Natural Wastewater Certification
- State of TN Grade 1 Collection System Certification or ability to obtain within 18 months
- NIMS ICS-100 & NIMS IS-700
- Competent Person Training Certification
- Valid Tennessee Driver's License and safe driving record
- Valid Class 'A' CDL with air brakes and safe driving record
- Minimum two years underground utility experience
