Role OverviewThe Wastewater Operator 1 will assist in the operations, maintenance, and repair of the City's wastewater infrastructure. The role will involve operating equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to after-hours emergencies.
What You Will Do
The Wastewater Operator 1 will perform a variety of tasks, including assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of wastewater system components, performing visual checks of facilities, and maintaining records and logs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of maintenance/construction experience, and the ability to obtain a Class I South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources Wastewater Collection Operator's Certification within 18 months of hire.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- One (1) year of maintenance/construction experience
- Class I South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources Wastewater Collection Operator's Certification
- South Dakota Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
