Water Plant Operator

Requirements

• Completion of specialized technical training related to water treatment plant operations in addition to a high school education
• One to two years of experience in a similar role or completion of an apprenticeship or internship in water or wastewater treatment operations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license appropriate for operating required vehicles or equipment
• Certification Requirements (for Advanced Operator Level): Successful completion of required regulatory testing and possession of a valid Water Treatment Plant Operator certification at the required grade level
