Job Description
Performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of water treatment plants, raw water intake pump stations, potable water pump stations, elevated and ground storage tanks, lakes, dams, the chlorine dioxide disinfection facility, and a scalping station.

Requirements

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment and related components.
  • Perform general maintenance at water facilities, including carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing, painting, and related tasks.
  • Lubricate, change oil, and perform preventive maintenance on motors and equipment.
  • Operate a city vehicle daily to travel to water treatment plants, pump stations, storage tanks, lakes, and vendors.
  • Maintain safe and productive work sites at all times.
  • Perform basic computer operations.
  • Mow and maintain grounds.
  • Use hand tools, specialized tools, welding equipment, and electrical test instruments.
  • Operate a personal or City vehicle.
