Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a Watershed Maintainer to perform daily operations to maintain NYSDEC State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) compliance at the Grand Gorge Water Resource Recovery Facility.

Requirements

  • Conducting wastewater facility operations
  • Conducting equipment maintenance projects, housekeeping and ground maintenance
  • Performing laboratory analysis
  • Acquiring and maintaining Wastewater Certification
  • Obtaining a New York State Grade 2 Wastewater Operators Certification
  • Having a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
  • Having a valid motor vehicle driver license in the State of New York
