Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a Watershed Maintainer for a position at the Water Resource Recovery Facility in Tannersville, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining NYSDEC SPDES compliance, performing daily operations, and acquiring and maintaining Wastewater Certification.

Requirements

  • Conducting corrective maintenance repairs within the collection systems
  • Conducting equipment maintenance projects, housekeeping, ground maintenance
  • Performing wastewater laboratory analysis for process and SPDES reporting
  • Acquiring and maintaining Wastewater Certification
  • Inspecting, flushing, and repairing the collection system components
  • Inspecting, operating, and adjusting wastewater treatment equipment; reporting problems or unusual conditions
  • Maintaining, lubricating, greasing, cleaning, painting and adjusting equipment as scheduled or needed
