Job Description
Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee: This entry-level position performs duties and assigned tasks in conformance with established procedures, including operating and maintaining the plant and remote pumping stations, collecting and analyzing samples, and supporting the operations team. Availability for shift work, weekends, holidays, and on-call emergencies is required.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or vocational school
  • One year of work experience in mechanical, pumping, pool chemistry, chemicals, or hydraulics maintenance and/or repair
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a valid Florida Class “C” Drinking Water Treatment Operator’s License within 18 months of employment
