Role OverviewThe Water Utility Electrician installs, repairs, and maintains the electrical equipment and fixtures of city buildings and facilities in compliance with federal, state, and city codes to ensure quality electrical service.
What You Will Do
Troubleshoots electrical and/or electronic apparatus, installs, repairs, and maintains various electrical equipment, performs preventive maintenance work, reads blueprints, tests circuits, connects wires, trains apprentice electricians, and documents maintenance and repair activities.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires a valid driver's license, current State of Texas Journeyman (or higher) Electrician's License, and may require a valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License. May be subject to evening and weekend shifts, inclement weather conditions, and twenty-four (24) hour emergency call outs.
