Role OverviewHDR is an employee-owned firm seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to join the Water Business Group. This role offers real-world experience on exciting projects, connecting with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs. The intern will apply standard engineering techniques and procedures under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
What You Will Do
Accompany a mentor on Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant Tours, review water/wastewater treatment plant plans and specifications on current projects, review and create process diagrams to understand and verify process systems at treatment plants, work in Excel to produce or verify design calculations, and write and review technical memorandums and reports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Candidates should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program with attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office skills. Preference is given to local candidates with 2 years completed toward degree and a 3.0+ GPA. The expected compensation range for this position in Minnesota is $25 - $30 per hour.
