Role OverviewPerform intermediate skilled mechanical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water lines, pumps, taps, and mains in the water/wastewater system. Employees perform repair and maintenance on broken wastewater lines, installation of water/wastewater equipment, and maintenance of equipment and supply inventories.
What You Will Do
Perform repairs on broken water/wastewater lines and equipment, replace frames and covers, install water/wastewater taps, meters, meter boxes, hydrants, valves, and other appurtenances, and repair manholes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess a valid commercial driver's license, Class A (57) with Tanker endorsement, issued by the state of Tennessee. Pre-employment DOT physical, drug screening, and background check required.
Requirements
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- On-the-job experience (1-3 years)
- Supplemental training in plumbing licensure (desirable)
- Valid commercial driver's license, Class A (57) with Tanker endorsement
