Role OverviewThe Watershed Maintainer will be responsible for performing duties related to the operation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of facilities, equipment, and lands in the watershed areas and reservoir, aqueduct, and related systems of the City of New York water supply system. The role involves working in a team to maintain and repair equipment, water treatment facilities, and watershed areas.
What You Will Do
Specific duties include installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, fixtures, gauges, meters, and other equipment related to the watershed, reservoir, and aqueduct systems. You will also inspect reservoirs, streams, water supply lands, groundwater systems, and watersheds for compliance and conformity to rules and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year high school diploma or its equivalent and one year of experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment used in the controlling or purification of water at facilities in watershed areas, reservoirs, or aqueduct systems.
Requirements
- Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment used in the controlling or purification of water at facilities in watershed areas, reservoirs, or aqueduct systems
- Motor Vehicle Driver's License valid in the State of New York
- Class A Commercial Driver's License valid in the State of New York (may be required)
