Role OverviewThe WC Claims Specialist will manage a caseload of Workers' Compensation claims, communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to set return to work expectations. They will perform initial and subsequent claims investigations and determinations within prescribed timeframes, processing various types of compensation and addressing subsequent requests by parties to the claim.
What You Will Do
The WC Claims Specialist will respond to customer inquiries, follow Ohio Revised Code and BWC policies and procedures, and communicate with legal representatives, employers, claimants, and other stakeholders.

Requirements
- 36 months of experience in a position requiring evaluation of medical or public assistance benefits
- completion of undergraduate core coursework in business, humanities, social & behavioral science, education or related field
- 12 months of experience in a position requiring evaluation of medical or public assistance benefits
- 24 months of experience as a Workers' Compensation Claims Assistant, BWC Customer Service Representative, or BWC Employer Service Representative
- 12 months of experience as a Workers' Compensation Medical Claims Specialist
