Role Overview

The Website Designer supports staff across all of the agency's divisions to implement the agency website design as part of the Website Redesign and Improvement Project. The incumbent will join the ongoing effort to improve the website's overall design and structure.

What You Will Do

Duties include working with others in the Communications Office to ensure the website's usability, accessibility, and performance. The position will also contribute to the effort to provide training for staff to ensure documents are Section 508 compliant.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The position supports Moodle, GovDelivery, and AccessGov and assists with posting visualizations created in ARC-GIS and dashboards created in Tableau to the agency website.

Requirements

  • Expert abilities in web publishing, thorough knowledge of web page constructions, including thorough knowledge of Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), CSS, and graphics packages such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent active listening skills and willingness to incorporate feedback to deliver results that achieve Department goals.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Ability to research and analyze a variety of website issues and implement solutions through sound judgment.
