Job Description
Role Overview

We are seeking a welder to join our team at our West Bend facility. As a welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including lifting and securing work pieces, calculating and setting machine controls, and inspecting and measuring machined work pieces. You will work in a busy and growing welding shop with openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include lifting and securing work pieces, calculating and setting machine controls, inspecting and measuring machined work pieces, and performing basic MIG and TIG welding techniques. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate counts of parts, attaching labels or tags to finished part containers, and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the Robotic Welding Manager.

We are looking for a dependable individual with at least one year of welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. You should have knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance, as well as basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret documents like blueprints and safety rules.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • FANUC Robotic Certification is desired
  • Certificate or degree in welding is preferred
  • At least one year welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents like blueprints, welding symbols, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and vendors
