Role OverviewJoin the Alamo Group Ag Americas Team in Selma, Alabama as a Welder to support and contribute to the company's goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Welder II will layout, fit, and weld fabricated steel frames and/or metal for one to two product lines using mig welding equipment.
What You Will Do
Perform welds on parts or subassemblies, verify welds meet quality standards, adjust and operate welding equipment, maintain production quantities, efficiencies, and quality, and perform simple measurements using devices or gauges.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in welding, be able to understand and follow simple instructions, and have knowledge of basic procedures of mig welding.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year experience in welding
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions
- Knowledge of basic procedures of mig welding
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to speak, hear and see to perform duties to communicate and build subassemblies
