Role OverviewThe Welder is a key position in the Company, supporting and contributing to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Welder will weld non-critical fabricated parts and subassemblies as specified by blueprints, layouts or welding procedures.
What You Will Do
Adjusts and operates welding equipment to perform non-critical welds on fabricated parts and subassemblies. Maintains production quantities, efficiencies and quality on parts welded. Loads fabricated parts or subassemblies into jigs and fixtures.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to understand and follow simple instructions, perform standard measurements, and demonstrate required knowledge and ability to read blueprints with weld symbols and specifications.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 months to 1 year experience in welding
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions
- Capable of performing standard measurements
- Knowledge of basic procedures of mig welding required
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to speak, hear and see to perform duties to communicate and build subassemblies
